Appreciation Awards: AdvocateNT Community Appreciation Awards allow for the nomination of organizations or individuals who have provided impressive support to seniors or people with disabilities.
Recognition Focus: The awards highlight efforts in advocating for inclusion, accessibility, and supporting vulnerable residents within the Northern Territory.
Nomination Process: Nominations are open to the community to recognize local champions.
Categories: The awards cover areas such as volunteering, community recognition, and advocacy.
Advocate Northern Territory recognises Ashley Stephens and the team at Swell Palmerston for their support for older Territorians health and well-being and providing a welcoming environment for all age groups.
Interviewed 12 (+2 today enjoying the facility) older people who have either visited or continue to visit Swell Palmerston to maintain a level of fitness and well-being.
It must be noted that the facility does not have a pool suitable or Allied Health personnel for post-surgery\procedure (Hydrotherapy) recovery.
Everyone interviewed is happy with the facilities and staff at the pool.
