Lunch and Learn

This special session features members of Elder Abuse Action Australia’s Seniors Panel for Advocacy, Rights and Knowledge (SPARK): Margaret Crothers, Craig Hubbard and Cathy Chong, moderated by EAAA Executive Officer Bev Lange.

Recorded in the lead up to World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, this discussion places the voices of older people at the centre of the conversation.

Our panellists share their perspectives on elder abuse, rights, and the changes needed to better protect and empower older people.

In this honest and thought-provoking discussion, the panel explores where systems are falling short, what meaningful action looks like, and why listening to the experiences of older people is essential to preventing abuse.

Whether you work with older people, are a family member or carer, or simply want to better understand the issues, we hope this recording provides valuable insights and inspires action.

Because ending elder abuse starts with listening.

Craig Hubbard was a key featured panelist in the Elder Abuse Action Australia (EAAA) “Lunch & Learn #5: Standing Up, Speaking Out” webinar held on 11 June 2026.
